How does Ashland Credit Union protect my personal information?
To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards, secured files and buildings, procedural safeguards and safe record storage. We will continue to review and modify our security controls in the future to deal with changes in products, services, and technology.
How does Ashland Credit Union collect my personal information?
We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

- apply for a loan
- use your credit or debit card
- pay your bills
- make deposits to or withdrawals from your accounts

What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else? Your choices will apply to everyone on your account.
Definitions
Affiliates Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
Ashland Credit Union has no affiliates.
Nonaffiliates Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
Ashland Credit Union does not share with non-affiliates so that they can market to you.

Keeping financial and personal information secure is one of our most important responsibilities. Ashland Credit Union(ACU) is committed to protecting the information of our members and other visitors who use our website. We value your trust and handle all personal information with care. As with information we collect through other means, we use the information you provide online to respond to your needs, service your accounts, and provide you with information about other ACU services.
Your name and address will not be sold to any mailing lists or third parties. Any information disclosed to ACU in the normal course of business is held in strict confidence. We will disclose member information in order to comply with law, government agency, or court orders; if you give us permission to do so, or as provided in other disclosures and agreements applicable to your transaction or account.
SECURE TRANSMISSIONS
To ensure information remains confidential, ACU uses encryption technology such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to protect the information you enter and submit from our website.
EMAIL SECURITY
Regular Internet email is not secure. You should never provide information that is sensitive or confidential such as your social security number, account number, or PIN. We also ask that you do not send personal or account Information through regular email.
COOKIES
Cookies are pieces of information stored directly on the device you are using. Cookies we use do not contain or capture unencrypted Personal Information. Cookies allow us to collect information such as browser type, time spent on the site, pages visited, language preferences, and your relationship with us. We use the information for security purposes, to facilitate navigation, to display information more effectively, to personalize/tailor your experience while engaging with us, and to recognize your device to allow your use of our online products and services. We collect statistical information about the usage of the site to continually improve the design and functionality, monitor responses to our advertisements and content, understand how account holders and visitors use the site, and assist us with resolving questions regarding the site. We also utilize cookies for advertising purposes. Tracking technologies that are also used include beacons, tags, pixels, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our website.

The privacy and security policies on these linked websites may differ from those practiced by ACU. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of all websites you visit, especially before providing any personal non-public information.
OUR MOBILE APPS AND YOUR LOCATION DATA
The Ashland CU Mobile Banking app periodically collects, transmits, and uses geolocation information to locate nearby surcharge-free ATMs, but only if you expressly authorize collection of such information. You may choose whether geolocation information can be monitored on a continuous basis in the background, only while the app is being used, or not at all. You can change your location permissions at any time in your device settings. The ACU Card Services mobile app does not collect or utilize geolocation information.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS
Many websites and apps use Google services to improve their content. When they integrate Google services, these sites and apps share information with Google. ACU uses Google Analytics to better understand how users are visiting and using our site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they have used before coming to this site. Google Analytics collects the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. ACU does not combine the information collected via Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit ACU’s site, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. SITE SECURITY INFORMATION
For site security, we employ software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information or otherwise cause damage to our system. ANY UNAUTHORIZED ATTEMPT TO CHANGE INFORMATION ON THIS WEB SITE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED BY LAW AND IS SUBJECT TO PROSECUTION UNDER THE COMPUTER FRAUD AND ABUSE ACT OF 1986, 18 USC §§ 1001 AND 1030.
